Instructional Design Philosophy
Our blended training approach meets the needs of all types of users. Some users like to attend live classes, others like to view instructor-led courses online when they have spare time, and some like to control their path through self-paced materials. By offering live and pre-recorded instructor-led training, web-based training and demos, online documentation, reference materials, and job-aids. ZOE Media provide you with a better overall solution to meet your company’s training demands as well as the needs of all types of users.
Our methodology includes several phases to help you identify performance gaps and develop an effective training program:
Phase 1 Needs analysis
The basis for developing an effective training program begins with a clear understanding of the skill and knowledge required to perform the job. By observing novice and expert employees, interviewing Subject Matter Experts and reviewing documentation, ZOE Media will help you identify the knowledge and skills required to reach your training goals.
Phase 2 Project design
During the design phase, ZOE Media will work closely with you to evaluate your training needs, identify learning objectives, and determine the basic training components. Specific tasks to be performed during the design phase are:
- Identify learning objectives, key tasks, and weave them into a cohesive training plan
- Create assesment questions and map to learning objectives
- Recommend training development tools
- Suggest delivery methods and work with you on a delivery plan
- Present delivery and implementation plan
Phase 3 Prototype and template development
The prototype and template design phase provides a sampling of each training component. Specific tasks to be performed during the design phase are:
- Determine customized training components and features
- Plan functionality and layout
- Create a prototype of each type of training deliverable
Phase 4 Content design
During the storyboard phase, ZOE Media will determine how objectives and key tasks should be presented, flag necessary graphics, and step through screen flows, demos, and user interactions. Specific tasks to be performed during this phase are:
- Review current courseware or raw content materials
- Create text and audio content
- Describe graphic components
- Step through screen flows, demos, or video needs
- Create interactions and case studies
Phase 4 Content development
The content development phase initiates creation of all content pages. Specific tasks to be performed during the development phase are:
- Develop content
- Create graphics and size product photos
- Record audio/video components
- Develop questions, animations, and activities
- Record and integrate audio or video
- Develop a beta test plan
Phase 5 Final testing
During this phase, ZOE Media will verify that the project works as expected. During this phase we provide train-the-trainer, if required. Specific tasks to be performed during the QA phase are:
- Test functionality
- Review and revise content
- Walkthrough and deliver final training
Phase 6 Implementation
During this phase, ZOE Media will carry out the implementation plan created in the design phase. They will provide you with a golden master of the project and help integrate into your Learning Management System if needed.
Phase 7 Maintenance
All good training programs include assessment to collect important trainee feedback. These comments can be analyzed and used to update training programs to ensure your programs are up-to-date and continue to benefit users. ZOE Media Group can provide ongoing maintenance to existing training and courseware and assist you with future development efforts of similar products.
